Description
Manor House, now divided into two houses, dates from the 17th century and was altered in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble, partly limewashed, with freestone dressings and quoins. The roof is tiled from the 20th century, featuring coped raised verges and ashlar stacks, along with a coped parapet and coved cornice. The building has two storeys and cellars, with three bays; the central bay is slightly advanced. The windows are 4-light casements with edge chamfered mullions and surrounds, set beneath a cornice. In the east gable wall, there are 2-light casement windows in ovolo moulded surrounds, while the west gable wall has two blocked windows with 4-centred heads and shields carved in the spandrels. A central projecting ashlar porch features a coved cornice and an arched doorway under a hoodmould, leading to an inner panelled door. To the right of the porch, the 4-centred head and spandrels of a former window or door are visible. Note that 20th-century alterations and extensions to the left of Manor House East are not included in this description.
