Description
This barn, located 5 metres east of Wilcroft House, dates back to 1861. It is constructed from punch-dressed stone and features a stone slate roof. The barn has an elliptical-arched cart entry with rusticated voussoirs. Above this entry, there is a two-light window with arched lights and false keystones that displays the date. To the right, there is a mistal doorway with a sill-tie to the left of a small window. The barn also features two lunettes with keystones. The left-hand return wall includes an owl hole at the apex. The rear of the barn is made of small coursed stonework, which may be older, and includes quoins, a segmental arched cart entry with a chamfered surround, and mistal doorways on either side, also with chamfered surrounds. Inside, there are three bays supported by queen-post trusses.
