Description

SOWERBY BRIDGE GREAT EDGE ROAD SE 0424 & SE 0524 (west side, off) , 9/73 Luddenden Foot Barn approx 17 metres to south-east of Westfield Farmhouse GV II Barn. Early-mid C19. Coursed squared stone, courses thinner at top; stone slate roof. 3 bays. Central segmental-arched cart-entry with imposts, voussoirs and keystone; mistal doorway to either end; above cart-entry a square opening flanked by lunettes. Rear: opposing cart-entry; mistal door on right; triangular opening above cart-entry flanked by lunettes. In left and right gables a lunette owl-hole. Interior: Queen post roof trusses with angle struts. In state of dereliction at time of resurvey. Included for group value
