Description

The Robin Hood Inn is a public house built in the second quarter of the 19th century. It features hammer-dressed stone, which is painted on the front, and a stone slate roof. The building has quoins and a three-bay symmetrical facade that includes a doorway with interrupted jambs and windows with plain stone surrounds. Above the door, there is a decorative tablet carved with illustrations of two men dressed in Lincoln green, which reads: "ROBIN HOODS INN If ROBIN HOOD be not at home come take a pot with little John."

The inn has an eaves band and gutter brackets. The left side of the building has a simple Venetian window in the gable, while the right side features a five-light flat-faced mullioned window on each floor. The first-floor window has a lowered sill and is missing two mullions. There are gable stacks, and the inn is prominently situated on a bend in the center of the village.
