Description

This milestone, dating from around 1820, is located opposite the junction with Crimsworth Lane on Keighley Road in Wadsworth. It features an arch-headed stone that is overlaid with cast iron and has two projecting faces. The top of the milestone displays letters in relief, which read: "LEES AND HEBDEN BRIDGE ROAD WADSWORTH BRAYSHAW & BOOTH MAKERS LIVERSEDGE HEBDEN KEIGHLEY" along with the distances "BRIDGE 9 MILES 2 MILES."
