Description
Higher Crimsworth is a row of back-to-back cottages dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century, now occupied in pairs. The cottages are built from hammer-dressed stone and have a stone slate roof. They are two storeys high and consist of three rooms with a double-depth layout. The buildings feature quoins and each has a doorway with a sill-tie jamb located to the left of a three-light flat-faced mullioned window, which is made up of two wider lights flanking a narrower central light. On the first floor, there are three square-light windows. The cottages have gutter brackets, coped gables with stacks, and two additional stacks along the ridge.
