Description

This is a row of five cottages built in the early 19th century. They are constructed from hammer-dressed stone with a stone slate roof, and feature quoins. The cottages are two storeys high. Each cottage has a single-cell plan. Each has a doorway with a sill-tie jamb to the left of a three-light, flat-faced mullioned window, formed by two wider lights either side of a narrower central light. A three-light window is above the door to the first floor, with square lights. It is possible that these windows were originally five-light windows to the ground floor, and six-light windows to the first floor, with some mullions having been removed. Five well-dressed stacks rise from the ridge of the roof.
