Description

This barn, dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century, is constructed of hammer-dressed stone and features a stone slate roof. It has quoins and a segmental arched cart entry, with a 2-light flat-faced mullioned window above and single light windows on either side. To the right, there is a mistal doorway with monolithic jambs at a lower level. The gables have three tiers of six ventilators, square-headed on the west side and round-headed on the east. The rear has similar window arrangements. Inside, the barn has a six-bay layout with a soft-wood queen-post roof.

The barn is positioned on the north side of a yard that is enclosed by high walls made of narrow coursed stone with half-round copings. Rusticated piers topped with stone pyramids create the gateway in the southern wall.
