Description

This is a former barn, dating from the late 18th century. The roof was raised in 1835. It is constructed of hammer-dressed stone with a stone slate roof. The barn has a central cart entry with altered jambs and lintel. There are mistal doorways to either side of the cart entry. A simple Venetian window is positioned above the cart entry, flanked by two rectangular ventilators. A return wall on the left side contains a blocked doorway with a chamfered surround and a semi-circular arched pitching hole with a dated keystone. The interior features four bays with wide, pointed stone transverse arches, each with a semi-circular arch above, reflecting the roof raising.
