Description
A row of four early 19th-century cottages, now combined into two dwellings, located off Old Town Mill Lane in Wadsworth. The cottages consist of four single cells with an outshut to the east end. They feature quoins. Each cottage originally had a doorway with tie-stone jambs, some of which are now blocked, and a four-light mullioned window with six panes above the ground-floor window to the first floor. Some mullions are missing from the windows. Number 3 breaks forward under a cat-slide roof, which is a lower-pitched roof extending from a ridge. This section has a blocked first-floor doorway that likely served as an access point for textile manufacture.
