Description

This is a row of four cottages built in the early 19th century. Originally, they were accompanied by a weaving shop located above the first floor, accessible via a short staircase with its own doorway in the gable of the left return wall. The cottages, along with the attached outbuilding, now operate as a public house and a flat.

The cottages are constructed of dressed stone with a stone slate roof and quoins. They are two storeys high and comprise four bays. Each bay originally featured a doorway with tie-stone jambs, positioned to the left of a three-light, flat-faced mullioned window. Above this was a four-light window to the first floor. Some doorways have since been blocked. Four stacks project from the ridge of the roof.

An outbuilding attached to the left-hand return wall has a doorway with tie-stone jambs and a single light window, which is now blocked. This outbuilding has quoins and a mono-pitched roof.
