Description
Nos. 1, 5, 7, and 9 Foster Lane are a row of cottages built in the early 19th century. They are constructed from hammer-dressed stone and feature a stone slate roof. The cottages are three storeys high on the southwest side and two storeys on the northeast side. The southwest elevation consists of three bays with flat-faced mullioned windows that have four lights, along with a ground floor doorway that has monolithic jambs. The first and second floors have five-light windows. The rear of the cottages has broader flat-faced mullioned windows with projecting sills, including three-light windows next to a doorway with monolithic jambs and four-light windows on the first floor. There are three chimney stacks along the ridge.
