Description
Broadstone Cottages is a row of four single-cell cottages, now forming three residences, built in the early 19th century. The cottages are constructed from hammer-dressed stone and topped with a slate roof, standing two storeys high. Each cottage features a doorway with tie-stone jambs to the left of a three-light flat-faced mullioned window with a slightly projecting sill. The first floor has a four-light window. Nos. 2 and 4 have been altered to create one house, with their doorways blocked and modified to provide extra light to the window. The cottages have gutter brackets, quoins, and coped gables with kneelers. There are four stacks along the ridge. The rear of the building has four bays with five-light windows, although Nos. 2 and 4 each lack two mullions.
