Description
Spink House, located at Halstead Green, is a late 18th-century house constructed from hammer-dressed stone, which is painted white, and features a stone slate roof. The building is two storeys high and consists of two cells with quoins. The east front showcases three-light chamfered mullioned windows, with two of these featuring two lights above and a sashed light. Between these windows are two chamfered lights with a single light above. At the rear, there is a doorway protected by a 20th-century glass porch, next to a single-storey gabled structure that was likely a wash house originally. On the first floor, there is a three-light window with a chamfered surround. The house has a central stack on the ridge. Inside, the original fireplace is preserved and features monolithic jambs, a flat arched lintel with a recessed frieze, a chamfered surround, and a stone shelf.
