Description

Longtail is a house, originally built in the late 18th or early 19th century and later divided into three single-cell dwellings, now forming two separate homes. It is constructed from hammer-dressed stone with a stone slate roof. The building is two storeys high. It features chamfered mullioned windows of five lights, previously with a taller central light likely intended for a sash window, although the mullions have been removed. Only the central doorway is in use; the others have been blocked, and they retain monolithic jambs. The corners are marked by quoins, and the gables have been coped with kneelers, along with three stacks rising from the ridge.
