Description

Dating to approximately 1850-1860, 1-15 South Brook Terrace forms a terrace of houses with group value due to its elevated position overlooking the city centre. The terrace comprises modest, two-storey sandstone houses, appearing like brick construction, and includes basements. The slate roofs have projecting eaves supported by modillion brackets with a bed mould. Corniced chimneys are present. Each house has a two-window front. The doorways have flanking pilasters, voussoir arches with vermiculated keystones above fanlights, and projecting cornices. Area railings return up flights of steps to the doorways.
