Description

Nos 6 and 8 Edmund Street are a pair of buildings dating from around 1830 to 1840, originally serving as a coach house and cottage. They are set back from the building line in a small close. The buildings are two stories high, constructed from sandstone brick, featuring a plain eaves cornice and a stone slate roof, with corniced chimneys. The fenestration is irregular, with revealed sash windows, one of which retains its glazing bars. To the right, there is a segmental voussoired coach arch with a blind octagonal panel above it. The two doors have battered eared architrave surrounds, with a deep frieze and cornice above both.
