Description
This is a small, detached house dating to around 1830, set back from Thornton Road within a garden. The two-storey building is constructed of sandstone, designed to resemble brick, and sits upon a basement. A sill band runs along the first floor, and the roof is hipped, covered in stone slates, with a moulded eaves cornice. The symmetrical front has three bays, with plain sash windows set within squared surrounds. A doorway, approached by a flight of steps, features squared jambs and shaped consoles supporting a moulded cornice, with an incised diamond pattern to the frieze.
