Description

The former cottage row located at the rear of 53 Market Street, now known as 2-6 Ackroyd Court, dates from around 1840. It is constructed of sandstone "brick" and features stone slate roofs with block brackets at the eaves. The cottages have two-light square mullion windows set in squared surrounds, and the doorways are framed with squared jambs. This building is included for its group value.
