Description

This is an early 18th-century dwelling, possibly dating to the late 17th century, which was refaced around 1800 and given mid-19th-century shop fronts. The building, comprising numbers 90, 90A, and 92 Market Street, has a sandstone "brick" front with flush quoins. It is topped by a stone slate roof, with a small kneeler on the gable end of number 92. The first floor features two-light square mullion windows set within squared surrounds. Number 90 has a modernised shop front, while numbers 90A and 92 have small, mid-19th-century shop windows framed by pilasters. The doorways are plain and squared. The side elevation of number 92 is constructed of more irregularly coursed gritstone and contains a four-light chamfered mullion window on the ground floor, and a two-light window on the first floor.
