Description

This is an early 19th century, two-storey house built of sandstone, which appears as brick. It is located on Corrie Street, Thornton, and includes No. 18 Sapgate Lane. The house has a stone slate roof with saddlestones and prominent kneelers, as well as corniced stone chimneys. The symmetrical front has three windows on each floor, with a sill band running across. The windows are tripartite with square mullions, and the central first-floor window is round-headed with a keystone. A plain doorway is topped with a cornice supported by console brackets.
