Description

Nos 2, 4, and 6 on Sapgate Lane are a row of cottages built around 1800 to 1820. They are two-storey structures made of sandstone that resembles brick. The roofs are covered with stone slates and feature spaced lentils at the eaves. Each cottage has corniced chimneys and windows with one or two square lights set in squared surrounds. The doorways are also squared with jambs. This row of cottages is included in the listing for its group value.
