Description
This is a row of three buildings, numbered 48, 50 and 52, dating from circa 1820-30 and located on Market Street in Thornton. The buildings are constructed of sandstone, appearing like brick, with plat bands and block bracketed eaves. They have a stone slate roof and corniced chimneys. Each building originally had single and former three-light square mullion windows set within squared surrounds. Number 52 retains its mullions on the top floor. The doorways are plain, featuring squared jambs. This row of buildings is listed for its group value.
