Description
Number 19 and the barn, located on Market Street in Thornton, were built as three dwellings around 1800 to 1830, with the western part constructed slightly later. The buildings are two storeys high, made of sandstone "brick" with a stone slate roof and corniced chimneys. The street-facing elevation is nearly windowless. The south front features two light and three light square mullion windows in squared surrounds, with the original five light windows having been altered. The barn, which is attached to the west, is of similar height and construction, featuring a large ashlar lintel above its doorway.
