Description
The University of Sheffield Health Centre, located at No. 2 Claremont Place, is a house dating from around 1840 that has been converted into a health centre, with late 19th-century alterations. The building is constructed of brick with stone dressings and features a hipped slate roof. It has a plinth, a first-floor band, and deep modillion wooden eaves. The structure is two storeys high and has a three-window range of wooden cross casements with brick flat arches. The outer windows are set in slightly projecting two-storey bays. The central entrance features a doorcase with Doric columns and a cornice, along with a fielded six-panel door and an overlight. On each side of the entrance, there are taller cross casements. The interior has not been inspected.
