Description
No. 259 Pitsmoor Road is a house, now functioning as a day centre, dating from the early 19th century with alterations made in the mid-20th century. The building is constructed of brick, partly rendered, and features painted stone dressings. It has a hipped pantile roof with two ridge stacks. Notable architectural details include a plinth, a first-floor band, and moulded modillion eaves. The windows are 12-pane sashes set beneath brick flat arches. The house is two storeys high with a three-window range. The central entrance has a Classical wooden doorcase with an open pediment and fanlight, leading to a mid-20th century half-glazed panelled door. On the left side, there is a central rendered hipped two-storey porch with a sash window on each floor, while to the right, there is a single sash window on each floor. To the left, a sash window is located above a flat-roofed mid-20th century addition. The interior has not been inspected.
