Description
Christ Church Vicarage is a house, now serving as a vicarage, built in the early 19th century. It is constructed of brick with painted stone dressings and features a hipped slate roof with three ridge stacks and a single side wall stack. The building has a first-floor sill band and moulded modillion eaves. The windows are 12-pane and 15-pane sashes with brick flat arches. The structure is two storeys tall and has a three by four window arrangement. The south front has three windows and includes a small central Greek Doric portico with a half-glazed double door, flanked by single 15-pane sash windows. The right side of the building has four windows on each floor, with the lower ones being larger.
Inside, there is a hallway and a pilastered stairwell featuring moulded cornices and elliptical arches. The open well cantilever stone staircase has a patterned cast-iron balustrade and a ramped wooden handrail. The front room on the ground floor boasts a wooden Classical fireplace with an oval overmantel mirror, flanked by columns and topped with a swan-neck pediment.
