Description

These three houses at 361, 363, and 365 Glossop Road, Sheffield, were likely built around 1840. They are constructed of red brick with a rendered right return, ashlar dressings, and a hipped slate roof punctuated by four ridge stacks. The houses have a plinth, a band marking the first floor level, and modillion wooden eaves. The design features two storeys and five window bays. On the front, there are two top-hung glazing bar casement windows, followed by two twelve-pane sash windows and a blank section. All windows are topped with brick arches, with the first and fourth arches having an ogee profile. The ground floor features two doorcases with Doric half-columns, now containing twentieth-century doors and overlights. A top-hung casement and an altered twelve-pane sash window sit between the doorcases, with a blank section to the far right. The right return elevation has a blank section and one twelve-pane sash window below a similar doorcase, flanked to the left by a blank. The interior has not been inspected. The houses are included in the listing primarily for their contribution to the group value of the surrounding buildings.
