Description

No. 5 Clarkehouse Road is a house dating from around 1840 that is currently being converted into offices. The building is constructed of brick with stone dressings and features a hipped slate roof, which has three ridge stacks and one side wall stack. It has a plinth, corner pilasters, a first-floor band, and rebated eaves. The house is two storeys tall and has a three-window range with a square plan. The projecting centre has a pediment and a single unglazed window with an eared architrave. There is a Doric portico with a cornice, and the garden front features 12-pane sash windows. The interior has not been inspected.
