Description
32 Collegiate Crescent is a house dating from around 1860, now part of Sheffield Hallam University. The building is constructed of coursed squared stone with ashlar dressings and features a slate roof, which has two ridge stacks and a single external gable stack. It showcases Gothic detailing, including a plinth, quoins, a first-floor band, and wooden eaves with traceries and a bargeboard. The house has two storeys plus garrets and a three-window range, with a projecting gable on the right side. The windows are plain sashes, with the first-floor windows featuring label moulds. The central entrance has a Tudor arched doorway with a hoodmould and a half-glazed door. To the left of the entrance, there is a three-light cross casement window with a label mould. The right gable includes a canted bay window with three lights, decorated stone tracery, and a parapet with pinnacles. The right return has a projecting gable with a single window on each floor, and to its left, there are three-light wooden cross casement windows on both floors. The interior has not been inspected.
