GV II

House, now a department of Sheffield Hallam University. c1870. Coursed squared stone with ashlar dressings and steep pitched slate roof. 2 external gable stacks and single large ridge stack. Tudor Revival style. Plinth, quoins, coped gables. 2 storeys plus attics; 4 window range. Main block has 3 wooden cross casements and below, 2 similar casements flanked to right by a Tudor arched door with overlight and hoodmould. All these windows have label moulds. To right, a slightly projecting gable with a single cross casement with label mould, and above it, a lancet with glazing bars and hoodmould. Below, a canted stone bay window with crenellated parapet and a cross casement. Left return has 2 small windows and above, a single window set into the stack. All these windows have label moulds. Below, a half-round bay window with parapet. INTERIOR not inspected.
