Description
The lodge to Sheffield Hallam University's main building, dating from around 1850, is constructed of coursed squared stone with ashlar dressings and features a steeply pitched slate roof topped with an octagonal stone ridge stack. The building has a plinth, a first-floor sill band, and coped gables. It is two storeys high with a two-window range. On the right side, there is a gabled through-eaves dormer that contains a three-light mullioned casement window. The off-centre Tudor arched doorway has a half-glazed door and is flanked by a two-light mullioned window on the left and a larger three-light window on the right. All windows are fitted with stone mullions. The interior has not been inspected.
