Description
1 Beech Hill Road is a house that was also used as a dental surgery at the time of listing, dating from around 1840. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features a hipped slate roof with two coped stone stacks at the rear. The building has a plinth, a first-floor band, and deep wooden eaves. It stands two storeys high and has a three-window range of 12-pane sash windows. The central entrance is highlighted by a Greek Doric portico with a pediment, featuring a fielded six-panel door and an overlight, with a 12-pane sash window on each side and two window returns.
Inside, the hallway and stairwell are adorned with enriched cornices and round and elliptical arches. The cantilever wooden dogleg stair has stick balusters, a cut string, and a ramped handrail.
