Description
No. 33 Penrose Street is a house, now used as a surgery, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a rendered parapet. The building has two storeys and three bays. The ground floor includes round-headed windows and a door set in round-arched recesses, with a moulded stucco string at the spring that continues across as a cornice above the door. The door has six panels and is flanked by fluted attached three-quarter Doric columns, with a recent fanlight above. The sash windows have glazing bars; the ground-floor windows feature radial glazing in their heads, while the first-floor windows have gauged, flat brick arches. The interior has not been inspected.
