Description

A terrace of three houses built around 1840 to 1847. The houses are constructed with roughcast render over stone, with stucco dressings and a Welsh slate roof. Each house has a two-unit plan and is two stories high, with a central entrance. The wide doorways have part-glazed four-panelled doors with fanlights and panelled rebates. There are sixteen-pane sash windows on each floor, with a blind window above the doorway. Stucco surrounds are present on both doorways and windows, and each house has stucco pilaster strips at the angles. The rear of the houses reveal exposed random rubble. Axial and end wall stacks are visible. Historic maps document the terrace, and the listing refers to additional information relating to No 3 Village Road, Oxton.
