Description
A row of four houses located at 42-48 Devonshire Road, dating from the 1850s. The houses are constructed of stucco with a slate roof and extend over three storeys with a basement. Each house originally had three bays, though numbers 46 and 48 project forward. The design incorporates a basement lintel band, sill bands, and a top cornice. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars, and those on the ground floor have aprons. The houses have enclosed porches with cornices, and the entrances feature architraved doors with four panels. Number 44 has windows without glazing bars on the ground and first floors.
