Description

18 and 20 Devonshire Road are a pair of symmetrical semi-detached houses built in the 1860s. They are constructed of stucco and feature a slate roof. The houses rise to three storeys with a basement and each has three bays. There is a sill band and entablature at the first floor, along with a top bracketed cornice. The buildings have rusticated quoin strips. The windows are sashed with flat architraves and no glazing bars; the central bays have tripartite sashes. The ground floor windows feature bracketed cornices, while the first floor windows have friezes and cornices. The entrances are adorned with Ionic porches and 4-panel doors.
