Description

26 and 28 Devonshire Road are a pair of symmetrical semi-detached houses built in the 1860s. They are constructed of stucco and topped with a slate roof. Each house has three storeys and a basement, with three bays on the front. Notable features include a first-floor sill band and entablature, as well as a top bracketed cornice. The houses have rusticated quoin strips at the corners. The windows are fitted with flat architraves and are sashed without glazing bars; the central bays feature tripartite sashes. Ground floor windows have bracketed cornices, while those on the first floor are adorned with friezes and cornices. The entrances are highlighted by Ionic porches and four-panel doors.
