Description
54 and 56 Devonshire Road are a pair of symmetrical villas built in the 1850s. They are constructed of stucco with slate roofs and rise three storeys above a basement. Each house has two bays, with the central bays projecting and all bays featuring gables. There is a lintel band at the basement level and a sill course at the first floor. The corners and window jambs are accented with quoins. The ground floor includes rectangular bay windows, while the upper floors have label moulds, and all windows are fitted with casements. The entrances feature 4-centred heads and label moulds, with half-glazed doors.
