Description
22 and 24 Devonshire Road are a pair of symmetrical semi-detached houses built in the 1860s. They are constructed of stucco and topped with a slate roof. Each house has three storeys and a basement, with three bays. The first floor features a sill band and entablature, while the top has a bracketed cornice. The houses have rusticated quoin strips. The windows are sashed with flat architraves and no glazing bars; the central bays have tripartite sashes. The ground floor windows have bracketed cornices, and those on the first floor are adorned with friezes and cornices. The central bays also feature rectangular oriel windows on the second floor, which are likely later additions. The entrances are highlighted by Ionic porches and four-panel doors.
