Description
This milestone, likely from around 1900, is made of cast iron and is bolted onto a sandstone support. It has a triangular shape at the bottom and a rectangular shape above. The lower part features the inscription 'CLITHEROE 10 MILES' on the left side and 'SKIPTON 8 MILES' on the right side. The upper part has a semi-circular top and is inscribed with 'SKIPTON & CLITHEROE ROAD. HORTON'.
