Description

This is a parish boundary stone located at SD 8798 5069, dating from the 18th century or early 19th century. It is made of sandstone and has a rectangular shape with a round head. The stone is inscribed with the word 'Marton', and there is a further possible inscription that is illegible. This boundary stone was previously listed twice, including under the parish of Martons Both, but that listing was removed on October 2, 2018.
