Description
The boundary stone, located approximately 30 meters north of number 9A on Gypsy Lane in Nunthorpe, dates from the mid to late 19th century. It is made of dressed sandstone and has a quadrant-section shaft that measures about 30 centimeters wide and 60 centimeters high. The south-east face of the stone is inscribed with the words "MARTON WEST C.P." However, the inscription on the north-east face is obscured by a late 20th-century wall. This stone marks the boundary between the former Marton West and Ormesby civil parishes.
