Description

This milestone, dating from around 1890, is located on the north side of Ilkley Road in Draughton. It is made from a round-headed slab of millstone grit, featuring a bolted cast iron front plate. The inscription on the plate reads:

"SKIPTON & OTLEY ROAD DRAUGHTON ILKLEY SKIPTON 5¼ MILES 4 MILES OTLEY 11¼ MILES"
