Description

This milestone, dating from around 1895, is made of millstone grit and features a cast iron front plate. It is inscribed with the following information: "KEIGHLEY AND KENDAL ROAD LONG PRESTON SETTLE SKIPTON 2¾ MILES 12¾ MILES KEIGHLEY KENDAL 12 MILES 42 MILES."
