Description

This is a milestone from the mid-19th century, made of iron. It has a triangular prism shape with a rounded top. The top of the milestone displays the inscription: "SKIPTON & CLITHEROE ROAD - MARTONS BOTH." The left side indicates "SKIPTON 5 Miles," while the right side shows "CLITHEROE 13 Miles."
