Description
This mid-19th century milestone is located 100 meters east of School House Farmhouse in Martons Both. Made of iron, it has the shape of a triangular prism with a rounded top. The top of the milestone displays the inscription "SKIPTON & CLITHEROE ROAD - MARTONS BOTH." The left side indicates "SKIPTON 6 Miles," while the right side shows "CLITHEROE 12 Miles."
