Description

22 Gledstone Road is a house, now functioning as a house and post office, dating from the late 17th century. It is constructed of rubble with a stone slate roof and stands two storeys high. The older section on the left features two bays and includes double chamfered stone mullion windows, with three lights and four lights on the ground floor, and two lights above. There is also a small round-headed cupboard light on the first floor and a chamfered doorway. The remaining bay has a plain doorway and one three-light recessed square mullion window on each floor. The left gable features 19th-century windows. At the rear, there is a cross-wing with a small blocked 17th-century light.

Inside, the right-hand room contains a chamfered segmental-arched fireplace, while the left-hand room has a stop-chamfered beam.
