Description
The Post Office is a house, later used as a post office, dating to the 17th century with subsequent alterations. It comprises two builds. The walls are of regular coursed ironstone rubble, with a plain tile roof and three brick stacks to the ends and ridge. The building has a three-unit plan and is single-storey plus attic, with a three-window front. An off-centre door to the left has a plain wooden surround, a wooden lintel and a rustic porch. Two windows to the left also have wooden lintels. Two two-light casements to the right are topped with stone flat arches. A three-light stone mullioned window is located at the rear, to the left part of the building. The interior features stop-chamfered beams and chamfered bressumers. Both fireplaces have been altered.
