Description
Woodheys is a house dating from 1695, as indicated by a datestone. It is constructed of regular coursed ironstone rubble, with a Welsh slate roof and two brick end stacks. The house originally comprised two units, with a further two-unit extension added to the left. The main section of the house is two storeys high plus an attic, with a two-window front. The ground floor has a two-light wooden casement window to the left and a three-light wooden casement window to the right, the latter with a wooden lintel. The two first-floor windows are also two-light, with leaded cames. There are two gabled attic dormers. The exterior features stone coping and kneelers. The angle of the wall to the right end is undercut and chamfered at ground floor level. A rectangular staircase projection is visible at the rear. The left extension is a single-storey building with an attic, and includes a plank door with a plain arched stone head, as well as two attic windows with two lights. The interior of the house has not been inspected.
